Children's Ministry at South Austin Church

We are God's children.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.  Romans 8:16-17

Our Ministry begins in the Nursery, which is location across from the Sanctuary, providing care for infants and toddlers (ages 0-36 months) during classes and services.

Sunday School happens every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with classes for Preschool/Kindergarten and 1st through 5th grade. 

Bible Quizzing is a wonderful program that encourages children (grades K-6) to read, study, and memorize God's word.  Quizzing is held during the school year (Sept.-April) with weekly study during the Sunday School hour in the Children's Center.  There are also periodic competitions on Saturdays. 

Children's Church is offered during the Morning Service for preschoolers and elementary age children.  After Worship, children will be dismissed prior to the sermon to participate in age-appropriate lessons and activities.  Preschoolers meet in Rooms 3/5 with Ms. Bridget and school-age children meet in the Children's Center with Ms. Sandy.

Family Sundays occur the first Sunday of every month.  Children remain in the Morning Service with their families.

Caravans is a fun-filled Christian scouting program with advancement based on earning badges.  It is for children age 3 through grade 6, and its purpose is to promote spiritual, mental, physical, and social development.  Caravans is offered during the school year (Sept.-May) on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00. 

Special Events that happen during the year include Hand Bell Choir, Easter Egg Hunt and Games, Kids' Fest, Vacation Bible School, Summer Camp, and Christmas Program.
